cozy eats!

Yesterday when I got home from work I did 3.5 miles on the treadmill. It was my longest distance so far so that made me happy. Nobody wanted to cook so it was either leftovers reheated or make your own. I chose to make my own.

In the summertime I love salads. I could probably eat them daily and not tire of the variety and combinations. Last nights was romaine, iceberg mix, tomatoes, broccoli, chick peas and balsamic vinaigrette. It was so good I nearly talked myself into making one for lunch today but I decided to be lazy about it. Big mistake.

Or maybe not? I brought a peanut butter on whole wheat sandwich but it wasn’t sounding tempting at ALL. I ate cheese toast for breakfast and didn’t want more loaf bread for lunch. I wandered around the office and asked co-workers had they grabbed lunch yet. Score! Two of them hadn’t. We walked over to a little coffee shop nearby to grab lunch. I had a milkshake there last week and was excited to finally try their food.

The walk over and back was so nice. It’s gorgeous outside! I ended up getting a turkey club wrap and a strawberry banana smoothie. My wrap was so big I’m saving half for tomorrow. Score! My smoothie was amazing. I could probably have been given a gallon size cup and still want more.
